On April 13 General Gun Maw, Vice Chief of Staff of the Kachin Independence Army, arrived in Washington, D.C. to discuss Myanmar and Kachin State issues. He had been invited by the US State Department. He and fellow delegation members would be staying in the US for 12 days.
