Burmese Army Attacks KIA Post near Man Hkawn

Less day a week after the two sides agreed on further de-escalation of violence, an unknown Burmese army column on Tuesday launches an attack on a KIA’s 12th Battalion post at 4:30 pm. The KIA post is located 6 miles from Man Hkawn village on Manje-Je Hkam road in southern Kachin State.
The battle is still going on but the Burmese army troops have not been able to advance and seize the KIA post as of this moment, said a local source.
