Hello David,
Thank you for your interest to find out more about this documentary project. As spoken, I am not sure what is available in Myanmar and how much you can assist us but let me give you some background and lay out our requirements and we can take it from there.

To give you some background, this project is partly funded by MCMC ( Malaysia Communications and Multimedia Commission) in preparation for the ASEAN Chair Malaysia is chairing in 2015. This documentary theme is centred on RICE (which is the staple diet of all ASEAN people) and hence is the common connecting factor between the ASEAN countries. We focus on one particular story in each country and the story can be from any part of the trail of Rice from how it is cultivated till it reaches the bowl, plate, banana leaves and etc to feed or feast and nourishes the people in this region . We will see the geography, socio-economy and the culture of each member ASEAN countries through this trail. This is a 1hr production for each country and in total there will be 10 episodes for the series.

We would really like to work hand in hand with a local partner so that the production will mirror the situation of Myanmar more accurately. Please do let us know if you have anyone in mind who could collaborate with us in this. Thank you again and have a great weekend.

Regards,
Alicia
