The conflict between the Burmese army and the Kachin
Independence Army re-started in June last year, breaking a 17 year
ceasefire.
Mary Tawm is manager of Wun Pawng Ninghtoi (WPN), an umbrella group of eight Kachin aid agencies that is working with displaced civilians on both sides of the border.
She talks about the IDP's, meaning Internally Displaced People, who have been left homeless because of the conflict, and also about INGOs, meaning International Non-Government Organisations.
