Dear Friends,

At present, I am in Mai Ja Yang, celebrating Christmas Event together with the IDPs and local communities.

Yesterday, the government army used air strikes at Gang Dau Yang area as well as more than 50 trucks full of troops by land together with 4 Back-fore vehicles for road clearance and heading to Laiza. Today, these troops are very close to Laiza, the headquarter of the KIO.

It is informed taht 6 lives lost due to airstrike at one site from the same village but not sure how many total lives lost. It so sad for the Kachin Communities as this should be the best time of the year to spend with families and love ones, but we are spending this precious time with fears and tears.
