11 Jan 17, 8:13 AM One of the IDPs sent me information..
"Everyday airstrike to the KIA posts by Tatamdaw. Yesterday, 10th Jan 2017, on Kachin State Day was the worst.
Last night, we heard that KIA's Nga Grang Bum Post was down. Sio we are afraid and we started packing. Some family moved early. Our family left after midnight. Crossing the stream in the dark, icy cold and my son cried. We were worried that the Chinese soldiers might come and stopped.
At 3 AM, Chinese soldiers arrived and stopped us but our family are now in Chinese soil and we refused to go back. About two third 2/3 still remains in Myanmar side. Still crossing the stream.
At Nga Grang Bum, Burmese soldiers are camping now, and there is not safety for us anymore. They can reach us in any minutes."
Zai Awng and Hkau Shau, two IDP Camps were affected.
On 10 Jan 17 - Due to heavy fighting since 3 pm near the camp, 2 camps re-evacuated to China side since 4 pm, through out the whole night.
