Burmese Army soldiers under 3rd Military Operation Command burned down a primary school building which is still under construction.
About 80 Burmese Army soldiers entered Shadan pa banana fields located in Nam-ngawn village on Oct 9, 2011 and burned down the school building for children of banana fields’ workers.
6 Chinese migrant workers were interrogated and tortured by Burmese Army soldiers and then being released only with boxer shorts. Burmese troops also reportedly seized 70 tons of rice, 90 tons of harvested brown rice, 8 pigs, 400,000 Burmese kyats, 20,000 Chinese yuan and 5 mobile phones belonging to local villagers.
