The Kachins from the most nothern part of Myanmar had been suffered from drug abuses since many decades. According to analyzed of one of anti-drug movement organizations base by civil society sad that 'by the drug abuses, round about six Kachin drug victims were dead every day, especially from the year of 2000'..
In this situation, the church can not stay herself alone and involved in the anti-drug movements since overe last year, this time over 1,400 women and men from the different local churches, denominations piled up in Waimaw township next to the Myintkyina, capital city of Kachin state to perticipate in the anti-drug movement to destroy,cut the growing poppy plants in her own land especially east area of the Kachin state, where poppy plants growing places since over last two days.( some parts of growing poppy plants had been already eliminated by activitiests especially weatern area of Kachin land). This time the movement is also allowed by the local goverment but they are still forbidden by the troop..the activitists can not still march forward....
Acording to confirmative information also, anti-drug movement guys and women are also waiting for by the over a hundred ownerships of poppy fields with dumhpau or local handmade guns to shoot them by making by ambush on their forwarding line....
