Analyzing the news, ethnics seems to be so far away from what is happening in Burmese politics. Burmese government seem to be moving toward democratic approach, calling out exile to come back, plus this and that economic transformation such as fighting for corruption. Aung San Su Kyi also seem to be going to along with the new government despite fighting going on in Kachin, Shan and Karen States. According to Mizzima news, Aung San Su Kyi is going for economic conference invited by the new government or the president
The exiles and opposition seems to be watching if it's the real democratic change. What they are asking is 'is it democratic'. But, for ethnics, it is a different story. They are calling for federal government which doesn't seem to be in the government agenda. The no solution political dialogue has been going on three times. Three time with no solution? The future of ethnic politics seems to be blur with no real foreseeable future.
Are the Burmese government going to be democratic without ethnics? Although it doesn't seem to be possible at International stage, this seem the solution that the Burmese government is heading. Is this what they so called 'guided democracy'. How the government going to deal with ethnics is what we have to wait and see.
